2012 Aussie Millions Poker Schedule
Aussie Poker is lit up in spotlights once a year as the Aussie Millions is the premier poker event in the southern hemisphere. Hosted each year in Melbourne Australia at the world famous Crown Casino, this poker series brings together some of the biggest names on the tournament circuit.
Outside of the World Series of Poker, the Aussie Millions is regarded by many as the best poker series in the world. Held in January each year, the tournament takes place during the Aussie summer time making this one of the best times to visit Australia, as the weather is at it's best. During the Aussie Millions, the Australian Open Tennis Championships are also taking place, giving participants even more reasons to visit the land down under.
The yearly event sees over 2,000 local and international players go head to head over a two week period across 26 official events. 800 of these players will use their skills to out play each other in the 2012 Main Event, with some of them returning to play in one of the World’s Largest Cash Game with a AUD$1 Million buy-in. The 2011 Main Event boasted a $7,210,000 prize pool with $2,000,000 to the champion David Gorr.
