Home, Stalling and exit rows.

I've been home for a few days, which is a bit of a relief just due to the disgusting state of our house in Adelaide. It was seriously putrid, which is probably to be expected when 6 young males get together in a house that they don't own but by the time we left I think we had it up to scratch (well good enough to get the bond back anyway).

The day after I busted ANZPT Adelaide I went to Big Day Out with Daniel Neilson, Ali Khalil and Jono Karamalikis, it was a pretty good lineup this year and we got out and saw Die Antwood, Gyroscope, Deftones, Iggy Pop, Bliss and Eso, Rammstein and a few other acts I can't recall. Deftones and Iggy Pop played pretty awesome sets, Iggy continues to deliver so hard despite his age. Rammstein were unbelievable though, not so much the music but just the performance they put on; from the keyboardist in a silver jumpsuit walking on a treadmill to the fireworks display to the flamethrower masks, it was a pretty intense show to watch. We rounded off the day by catching up with a huge group of poker players back at a pub across the road from the Adelaide Casino for some Friday night beers and a bit of pool.

The flight home was good although I was sceptical as it was my first time flying with Jetstar and had read some bad reviews of them lately, when I checked in I got an exit row seat which means a lot for me as I am around 6'3". While on the plane I finished reading 'Decoded' by Jay-Z, I would recommend this book to anyone even if they aren't fans of rap music or any of Jay-Z's work itself. It is very well written being mostly autobiographical in nature but delves deeper and discusses the meaning behind a lot of his songs and even breaks down the lyrics throughout his songs.

Monday morning grind was a bit different to usual because without my screens I had to grind as many tables as possible on my shitty laptop and while lying down on the couch watching the superbowl. I had no real success pokerwise other than a glimmer of hope in the $55 2x Chance Turbo and an ITM finish in FTOPS #1. An interesting situation came up in the $55 turbo where with 11 left I was 10/11 and had ~3.5bb, the button shoved, SB called and I was about to make the the mandatory call with T9o. I had the other table left in the tournament open and because there was 11 left we were not hand for hand yet so I felt like this was a perfecet chance to stall (Intimad8or32 style) to get the payjump. As it happened 2 players busted from the other table just as my timebank reached 0 so I called off lost to QJ and A7 to finish 9th for a small payjump and my only FT on the day.

On a pretty annoying note, my computer has decided to run like shit lately, so I'm not sure how much volume I will be able to get in within the next week or so until I buy a new computer or format this one. If anyone is more than handy with computers and doesn't mind helping we might be able to do an exchange of knowledge, so if there's anyone reading this feel free to hit me up.

To finish this off I want to congratulate Brendon Rubie, Matt Pearson and Jesse Mckenzie for their scores in the Wednesday 250k, the Party Poker Million and ANZPT Adelaide for $65k, $110k and ~$125k respectively.
