It has been a while since my last blog post but the brief run down is that I have been running pretty good at the pokerz with Feb being my best month on record.
Following on from the second in the Cake 109 for $2,700, I had a 5th in the $129 KO on FTP for $3,500 a few days later 2nd in the $75 $24K also on FTP for $5,400, then I finally broke through and actually won a tournament - this time on Stars, the $55 500 cap for a healthy $4,800 and followed up with a 6th in the FTP $30Rebuy last week for $1550.
Yesterday however shattered me. I was powering along in the Cake Major, with a Top 10 stack for most of the tourney, when with about 80 left I called a 10BB shove from the BB with A6ss. He had A8o and held on, which left me with a workable 25BB. I was blinded down to about 20BB about 15 minutes later just picking up some small pots, but nothing big when I woke up with AA in the BB. Cut-off who had me covered open shoves and its folded to me. He turns over 22, and my fist pump turns to horror when not one but 2 ducks land on the flop....out in 44th with the paltry sum of $350. About 2 minutes later I busted from the Sunday Millions in 673rd place when 1010 ran into AA for a 30BB pot...I am now hungrier than ever to make amends.
In other news my sportsbetting fascination has gone into orbit with a small profit to show for a lot of work on researching firstly the sports as well as the theories involved with bet sizing and multis...keep an eye on the Sports betting section of the forum for tips from time to time, after a successful one with the A-League finals here www.pokernetwork.com/forums/sports-betting/22494-league.html
As i type this Denver Nuggets have just come back from a 13 point deficit at Houston, only for Houston to come up in the last minute and win by 2 points to knock me down once again.
The AFL starts next week and with the NRL already underway, the Soccer World Cup around the corner, as well as the business end of the European competitions its going to be a winter choc-a-bloc of sports...
