I ended up not playing as much as I planned over the Easter weekend. I spent heaps of time reading, sleeping, watching movies and just generally chilling out. We went to see Arj Barker at the Town Hall late on Saturday night which was awesome, so funny.

I got a shortish session in on Monday because I was really keen to watch the Pies game. I managed to get a heap of stacks everywhere including having a top ten stack in the early 100r all the way through to the money, then on the money bubble managed to get stacked in this spot:

I was really annoyed since it was a 100bb+ pot with about 100 left, plus I missed out on a mincash which is almost 1k as well. I was super tempted to open up Skype and start up the cool story machine, but I have really focused on not turning on Skype during sessions and swapping beats and stuff with everyone when I should be concentrating. So I sucked it up, told myself I still had plenty of stacks and did my best to move on without giving much more thought to it.

This turned out to be a pretty decent idea since I ended up final tabling the Warmup and getting 6th for 21k. It wasn't really much of an exciting FT, most people were weak except for busto_soon who was on my right anyway and the structure was really shallow so for the most part it was some fairly snug opens and lots of reshoving. I played really nitty early since there were two super short stacks on my left and most of the randoms were opening pretty tightly, and ended up busting in a pretty standard spot. I wasn't really tilted or anything, but I was slightly disappointed since it's not really a big enough score to do anything but clear makeup, gimme 100k one time! Anyway it's given me a ton of motivation to grind while the games are so soft, so here's to running well for the rest of the week.
