Carbon Poker spreads games from $0.02/$0.04 up to $25/$50 in No Limit Hold'em games and $0.10/$0.20 up to $50/100 in Fixed Limit Hold'em games. They also have a full range of Sit 'n Go tournaments ranging from $2.20 up to $520 for entry. The rake structure seems to be standard as compared to the industry. That is that a 5% rake is taken, however the exact amount raked per hand is dependent on the number of players in the pot, pot size and stakes. All rake is capped at a maximum of $3 per hand, although some of the caps are lower depending on the stakes.

Traffic

The traffic on the Merge Network is lower than you would expect at some of the other major online poker sites. However there are many other positives with Carbon Poker to offset the low traffic. You'll find most of the games on Carbon Poker relatively soft and with a large playing base in the Pacific region, there are some decent games at peak times in New Zealand.

Playability

If traffic is a drawback at Carbon Poker, the software most certainly is a big positive. There are the rare features seldom found on other Poker sites - "Rabbit Hunting" will let you see what the river would have been if you didn’t fold. "Deal It Twice" allows two consenting all-in players the option to deal the turn and river cards twice. "Quick Start" allows four customizable options of Game Type, Table Type, Stakes, and Minimum Players at Table. This feature will send you to the right table without having to search for it. In addition, "Show One" is the ability to show your opponent either of your cards, without having to show both. Carbon Poker will allow you to show one of your cards if you wish to psychologically tuant your opponent - a great way to add to the fun and realism of your poker experience! The ability to resize your tables is great and something that should occur on all sites. Carbon Poker thankfully does have that feature. Carbon Poker's software is very innovative - Carbon Poker was one of the first sites to allow new players at a cash game table to tick a box to automatically wait for the big blind to post a blind, as well as the ability to automatically replay any hand in a hand viewer - features which are now common place on the major online poker sites.
