From what I've gathered from playing razz, scores are determined from highest to lowest card, rather than lowest to highest.

Easiest way this was explained to me, is that instead of reading it as for example, ace 2 3 6 8, you should read it in reverse as 8 6 3 2 Ace

If someone else comes along with ace 3 4 5 7, they win, because it reads (from highest to lowest) as 7 5 4 3 ace, which beats 8 6 3 2 ace.
