I've searched this forum and have found that Gary Bensons service to aussie/NZers seems reliable but before I commit to transferring can someone please confirm if all I have to do is let gary know via his website then transfer the money to his pokerstars Player ID called "InterCash"

It all seems a bit scary to transfer my balance to another player ID that I don't know.

a newb question, why would'nt you transfer straight to your bank account?
is it due to how much you're cashing out?

Some sites don't do it.
Also Gary is superfast, less than 24hrs generally. Bank transfers can take a week if not more.

+1 for Gary Benson. I've used his service a few times, have never had a problem.

PokerStars can only transfer the money back to the original method you used for depositing. In this case, I used a MasterCard and MasterCard do not allow deposits back onto the account.

My only other option is via cheque but I'm moving interstate in a week and could not guarentee that I would receive it in time.

Hence my need to use Gary.

Not true.
I deposit with MCard but cashed out directly to my bank account. Money came in two days.
