Hey guys thanks for the responses. In answer to daves post, yeah I have played a fair few sng's and have been a winning player at the lower than $5 stakes but through poor bankroll managment and a lack of discpline I have busted my br too many times. THis time I'm 100% serious and plan to stick to a stringent br scheme and not "take shots" or tilt it away. My biggest mistake before was doubling my $100 br and then playing 50nl cash games and bombing out

3. Stick to the 5.50s to start with, if you cant beat this over a consistent number you wont be able to beat anything higher.

Good Luck!
When you say a consistant win rate do you mean like 85%-95% or something more like 60%-70% of the time?

Agree with play tight at the start, let the other players knock eachoter out in the beginning. Start to loosen up alittle once you have accumulated some chips (say your in the top 3 count of chip stacks out of the remaining 5 or so players)

Dont forget to use aggression throughout the table and pounce on those short stacks when u have the nuts or atleast the 2nd maybe 3rd best hand.

definitely start at the $5 level to learn the basics and make sure you are beating the games over a decent sample size.

get HEM. i only use some basic HEM stats when i play, but it makes a big difference in instantly knowing who you should be stacking off light-ish against, etc, esp if you are multi-tabling (start learning this if you are not already doing it).

100 BI should be heaps at this level if you are a decent player.

Is 30 buy ins enough for a sit n go level...

$1.20x30 buy ins=$36
$3.40x30 buy ins=$102
$5.50x30 buy ins=$165
$11x30 buy ins=$330

Is this a bad bankroll management or?

100 is plenty imo but its usually derived as a function of how many tables u intend to play at once. More tables u play the more likely u will need more buy ins.

Yes u need HEM/Pt. Sharkscope and OPR are also useful to sort out winners and losers and who the good/bad regs r.

On the notes side of things, keep them short and to the point, takes to long to read a mini series when u have a decision to make on the turn.

Keep notes on players tendencies, leaks in their game, eg- checks the flop but always 3 bets the turn, folds to reraise, loose or agr, overbets low pockets preflop etc. Doing this will give u a quick reminder of a certain player and will give u an edge.
