    Default BR for SNG grinding

    Hey guys,

    a few Q's
    1. Is 100 buy in enough for starting to grind 5.50 sng's? or should I def wait until I get 200 buy ins.
    2. At this level is HEM worth its weight in gold?
    3. Should I start at $11 SnG's with 100 buy ins and not bother playing 5.50's?

I would also like some help on writing notes. I do it, I just cant seem to find a system that works well for me. at the moment I just write down key hands I notice and try to go from there, but it seems a but long winded to read quickly.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Gary

Mate at the level ur playing u'll likely go bust atleast every other week. Use this as a learning curve and after a few months get a tad serious.

Only now after like 2 months online am I winning consistantly(micro/low stakes so far from a brag.)

I don't understand what your trying to say here? Are you trying to get me to not play? Whilst informative your post failed to answer any of my questions.

Yeah I understand I have heaps to learn, but every poker player is always learning. I can afford the BR so I'm going to give it a shot and learn from my mistakes and others advice.

Now, can I get a real response?

Have you played SNGs before? It's hard to answer your questions without knowing something about your skill level. If you are a losing player it really won't matter how many BIs you have - you will obviously always go broke eventually. if you're a winning player and you're talking about 9 handed SNGs then 100BIs is plenty imo.

    1. Yes 100 Buyins will be plenty for 9 man Sit N Gos even if your starting out.
    2. Holdem Manager is great to learn no matter what level you are playing at, get familiar at the lower levels and it will help you as you advace higher up.
    3. Stick to the 5.50s to start with, if you cant beat this over a consistent number you wont be able to beat anything higher.

    Good Luck!
