The entry NL table, 80-100 buy in, runs a $5 p/hour time charge as well as a 10% rake capped at $8

so rough calculation per hour;
9 X $5 = $45
35 X $5 (average rake) = 175

Total - 190-220 bucks per hour

Rip off. Dont get me started

SK

Two things:

1) Smaller games such as this will be difficult to beat rake in ANY casino. They simply aren't profitable.

As limits go up, pots are then not raked and only time charge applies.

2) There is no way you get 35 hands an hour playing live cash at a ten handed table.

ok, so lets take 20 hands per hour.

Time charge: 9 x $5 = $45
Rake: 20 x $5 = $100

Therefore, $145 per 80-100 table per hour. Lets say we round this up to $150 per hour.

Considering the buy-in for the table is $100, this is effectively 1.5 people per table having their money go into the casino's pockets. This is also effectively 16.7% ($150/$900) rake.

hmmm.....

Having played at these tables, you don't really notice the rake as your to happy when your winning and worried about your dwindling chips when your losing/tilting.
