scijempotebi had been semi active, atleast the top 15% of hands (22+,A7s+,K9s+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KTo+,QJo and suited and/or connected cards)

I 3bet my opponet with KK, figuring that if he shoves on me hes got QQ+ but he decides to flat call me
and see a flop instead.

I cant really put my opponent on AA or AK as he would of shoved on me, certainly not KK so im
fairly certain im a head at this time.

Did i do the right play in betting the flop as it was a wet board with straight and flush draws
out there?

I opt to bet the flop protecting my pocket kings, then if he called figuring hes most likely on a
straight draw as 67, TQ and QK is certainly in his range along with 88, 99 and JJ.

Would have a check be more optimal on the flop to allow him to catch a card and induce chips from
him on the turn and/or river?

This. Cbet needs to be at LEAST 250, up to a max of 300-330ish

Make it 270, cbet 290 or w/e on the flop and hope he spazzes out with one pair hands/underpairs because he 'puts you on AK' with your weak cbet imo
