With tipping it's just basically $1 per drink for the waitress since the drinks are free. I'll take that over a 9 dollar beer at crown that I wait 45 minutes for anyday.

Food/drinks are so cheap compared to australia in vegas even with tipping considered that I just consider it part of the price for each item
i aint tipping unless 1 of 2 things happen;
1. i find out what they make an hr - an it sux
2. if they deserve it (like service is better than standrd) - then i'll tip 5 or 10x more than standrd. I do the same in oz.
If they have a problem with it, they can gf-themselves.
I'd stay away from America then champ, because you'll get your ass kicked within a few days from some pissed off cab driver or bartender. ESPECIALLY in Vegas.
You will last about 2 sessions if you don't tip at the poker table. All of a sudden you will find your name rolling to the bottom of the waiting lists for hours on end, and it will be the same at every casino in Vegas.
FWIW poker dealers make somewhere between $4 and $6 per hour.
Also you should note that you need to tip at ALL casino games - not just poker - so blackjack, craps, roulette etc all get tipped aswell.
Tipping in the US isn't a sign of good service like it is here - it is 100% expected, whether the service is first rate or absolutely terrible. The size of the tip is the gauge for how good or bad your service was.
I remember an argument over a murdered 'New York Sirloin'; I told the prick he didn't deserve to be tipped because he couldn't cook a steak

yeh i dont tip on house edge games...
except for that chick with the giant cans that spun up 5 reds in a row at planet hollywood this year... BOOM!!!
Seriously rickwaa be more of a loser.
...........just beaten by the chick at Bally's Casino that had just spun up her SEVENTH consecutive '2' before the table was closed by the casino manager.
We saw this by mistake ( as we had no intention of going thru Bally's casino but the flooded sidewalks insisted we go somewhere.....( we being, Brian Hull, Chris Newton and me )....
she had flat chest, yet the tips she woulda got by spin 7, ensured she could have largest cans in vegas by weeks' end.
Plus at that table they had the pre-bet of nominating a number for double spin at odds of 1000:1....and nominating a number for triple spins @ 10,000:1 ......horrendous house edge and sucker bet....yet that table and all those 2's are my #1 memory of Vegas.
