Can i put my opponenet on an ace in this spot? he min raises and flat calls my preflop reraise.

Once he flat calls my continuation bet on the flop and doesnt reraise me i cant put him on an ace, i mean min raising and flat call a reraise preflop with a raggy ace come on.

Although thinking about it what cards would min raise preflop and feel comfortable flat calling a reraise preflop and wanting to see a flop? ACES or KINGS right???

How was a my preflop, flop and turn betting?

in position I would check this flop back and see what he does on the turn (think about how many streets of value you're likely to get from WORSE hands on AAx rainbow), as played I don't think you should be putting any more money in on the turn as I doubt he calls worse (and definitely doesn't check raise worse).

I'd bet flop, check turn, hope to pick off a smallish bluff/value bet river. As played I'm probably calling the cr because for 3.5-1 I'll convince myself he has QQ but we are almost certainly dead.

If you think villain is capable of bluffing on AAx OOP in a threebet pot then I think check/call/call is more likely to achieve this than bet/check/call. The turn check/raise is almost never a bluff given the action and when you have such a good stack I wouldn't go punting a third of it hoping villain is misplaying QQ.

i would check flop or turn as well. 2 streets of value is likely all you are getting from a worse hand.

as played i dont think you can fold, you are getting sick odds, and imo he can def be val shoving worse without knowing anything more about him (mainly like 77+ which fits with the PF action). people tend to spaz with underpairs on AAx boards.

I think for comments in a beginner's forum we should be teaching people how to play the hand well in a general sense rather than suggesting they start picking off turn check/jams with KK on AAxx because "villain can value shove worse" and we have "sick odds"...

Yes people can spazz worse. But, if villain is a microstakes retard then the best way to get him to spazz worse is to check the flop back and take it from there. In a general sense you are going to take yourself to valuetown really hard cbetting flop then calling a turn checkraise with second pair.

I like checking the flop 2 unless your plan is to get 3 streets of value from him. You'd have to have a read that he calls down super lightly.

By betting the flop, what do you achieve? You get an ace calling u, a smaller pocket pair (but will fold to 3 streets of betting most likely), and worse hands to fold that will unlikely catch up since ur holding aces over kings.

I'm surprised you think check/call/call is better than bet/check/call. I think he's more likely to float the cbet and thin value the river to avoid getting jammed than check/bet/bet a hand we beat after we check/call?
