Cool Adding to bankroll or not?

Just a quicky, so im currently grinding cash games ($12.5 BI) tables on stars currently 4 tabling , have about $420 in BR. i started with $200 not sure if i should do this but ive saved some money and thinking about dumping either 2-3k ( spare money ) and start playing higher limits . Im pretty fish tight with my BRM im thinking about playing $50 BI's tables.

Would this be a bad idea ( as in the level of play would be completely different ? adjusting play in relation to stake limit ) i understand its better to go from bottom to top so you get the hang of things from each level but to be totally honest i cbf ) . If it doesnt go well ill just have to drop a level.

    Thoughts?

PS : im no grammar nazi as long as you understand what i say thats all - no remarks about grammar please.

Don't jump that many levels at once unless you have experience beating the 50sngs before.

If you want to move up i'd just deposit enough to move up one buyin level, give it a shot over a mediumish sample, see how you, go, repeat until you've reached the goal buyin level or found a stake that you're not beating for the expected winrate then play one level below that

If you are already beating the limits you play, and the money doesn't matter to you, why are you still playing it?

It's probably true of poker that you learn more when you are losing, and the higher you play the more you will learn. In the long run you will win back the money you invest in learning... So if losing 2-3k won't keep you awake at night go ahead and invest it.

The short answer is yes. The difference between 10NL and 50NL is huge, unless you're playing just for entertainment or have proven you can beat 50NL before then it's unwise to jump up more than one level at a time.

If you want to take a 10-buyin shot at 50NL then by all means do it; especially if the money is meaningless to you but i'm saying from a pure bankroll management perspective it would be wiser to first jump to 25NL, prove you can beat the game there (even over a smallish sample of say 20k hands just to get a feel for whether you're still beating the game easily) and then move up to 50NL from there.

i dont get what you mean why do i still play it ? you mean the limit? dont really want to go into (25BI ) tables dont have enough BI's for that's why i was thinking just to add more money and play higher limit

im most prob going to put that 2-3k just wanted to see perspective from others thats all.

if YOU had the money would you just put it in or just do the proper book way and grind it up

$200 upswing isnt that much, I'd be making sure your crushing it over a 3 month period atleast, because TRUST me, you'll hit that downswing.

Measure your period in hands/tournaments played, not time
