Hi guys. Not sure if this is the right spot to post but seemed as good as any.

Does anyone here play online at 888 poker?
Everytime i download the software, when the virus scanner does a scan, it removes the software.

Just wondering if 888 poker is really that dodgy? I tend to just play at full tilt and a couple of other poker sites.

Would love to hear your thoughts about whether 888 poker is any good and whether anyone else experiences problems with the downloads.

Hi,

This has been an issue in a past and was rectified.

To assist you I need to know what AVS you are using (version would help as well) and where exactly you are trying to download the software from.

When downloading from an affiliate site a tracking cookie is installed, some AVS can identify this tracking cookie as a trojan virus or malware.
I have had reports from my players of the same thing occurring during re installs over the past 48 hours.

As to what do I think or if they are dodgy? I am slightly biased; but I will say I enjoy playing on the site, their software has come along in leaps and bounds over the past 18 months and their liquidity is strong and growing.

There is a solid Aussie schedule (still some modifications to come) and it is site that attracts social, part time micro to low stakes players, primarily European.

download from au.888.com

had downloaded the software previously (sometime last year) from Online Casino & Online Poker Room - 888.com but the same thing happend. Once i did a virus scan, the software just gets erased.

Hi Mitch,

I have logged the issue with 888 management. I had one of my players log the same complaint last night.

It seems that Trend is picking it up as spyware, to fix this you need to deactivate Trend and download and install.
Although this is the first time I have heard about an AVS removing the program without authorisation.

Is there any prompt to allow this program to continue to function?

Na there isn't any prompt. It will work if you dont run a virus scan but once you do, it picks it up as a "spyware" and a "web threat" and removes the program. Then tells you to restart the computer.

This isn't new news it has been happening for ages. You need to tell your anti-virus scanner to exclude the folder that 888 is installed in so it doesn't get removed when a scan runs.

Many ppl have complained about this on 2+2 etc. fingers crossed it gets fixed one day so the random ppl can actually play easily if they want!

Hi Guys,

I require some additional information for this issue to be resolved.

1. Can you provide me with a screenshot of the actual problem? (Either the antivirus log after scan or the popup you get if and when it pops up).
2. What is the antivirus classification of our applications, is it a virus, malware, spyware or anything else?
3. Is the Antivirus application has the most updated hazards classifications and version? (If possible the version number).

Any piece of info will assist us resolve this problem ASAP.

Hi All,

888 have started to deal with this issue and have logged it with TREND MICRO. Since this issue may take awhile to resolve with TREND there is a short process that can solve this problem immediately.
It does require some actions from the user, if you a willing to do this then please refer to the below link:

Why does a player sitting out win the pot at showdown if his cards are good?
Shouldnt it be a standard muck?

Final table aswell. Player sits out with three tables left and wins showdown after showdown after showdown [get me?] while sitting out.
*obviously only happens in the big blind if limped pot or all in for blind<*
For some GAY reason I could not beat him. Pretty f tilting tbh

Sitting out player is Big Blind and is all in for 2000 chips
blinds are 1500/3000
avg stack is 100kish
I raise button
sb folds
Sitting out player opens up AJ
AJ is good at river
Sitting out player receives pot
