Default Basic Question. 4-bet sizing sb vs bb

    Villain is 46/33 pre and 3-betting 7%

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
    Hero ($59.15)
    BB ($56.75)
    UTG ($53.35)
    UTG+1 ($70.55)
    CO ($50)
    BTN ($96.50)

    Dealt to Hero J:heart: A:heart:

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $1.50, BB raises to $4, [color=red]Hero raises to ???

Basically ive got 2 really simple questions

    1) what's a good standard 4-bet size against a standard reg here?
    2) how much more would i have to make it against this guy? (figure he's probably going to want to peel off a flop a lot of the time)

    1) $10 looks good..vs a reg oop it's usually gunna go $1.50/$5-6/$11-12 here

just call, he threebet really small, he seems awful, you're suited...

In general, 4 bets should be 22-24 bb's, somewhere in there.

I like the min or just slightly more than a min 4 bet...

what are peoples thoughts on the following questions though:

    1. If he 5 bet shoves are you calling here. Should we alter what we do here based on this question?.
    2. If you expect him to call you everytime with your 4 bet (no history here so who knows) would we change our approach.
3 Assume he has been folding alot of hands in this spot after your 3 bet, would you ever fold a suited AJ here.

I guess given its 6-max which I dont play alot, were assuming that AJ is the best hand nearly all the time right?

    1. folding. pretty much every single person in the worlds 5-bet shove range crushes us. We'd need some sort of reason to call

    2. If we expect him to call we're not going to have bluffs in our range but a wider value range. (allthough this depends a lot on his post flop tendencies). If he folds to c-bets a lot (which i doubt he does) we could have a more polarised 4-betting range

    3. against a lot of people i would just fold to a 3-bet........(depending on the villain we can have a bunch of 4-bet/fold hands) and this wouldnt be a bad one cause it blocks against monsters

call pre ainec, if he is 3betting really wide you can very very profitably flat this in position and rape him postflop. 4betting turns our hand into a bluff and if someone is this aggro they can easily 3b/5b KQs 77 and hands like that, which we do very well aipf against which we are folding to.
