Well either way I was the one with the royal flush and as i stacked my chips up i sat there in a confused state trying to put together what he had.

My thinking is that he had either a set of fours or set of jacks. I'm ruling out kings and a straight. I'm obviously taking into account that he was truthful in saying that he didn't flop a flush too.

Nah, i dont give 2 shits about the royal, some people have had them and some haven't. My main issue was what the hell could someone call with in this spot?

Like who gives a fuck what the weakest hand is that he could call with in that spot?? He's getting 4-1 pot odds on his river call, there are a tonne of hands he can be calling with. Moral of the story is that you made a royal flush and got paid with it. Plz don't insult our intelligence any further.
