Default Whats the worst hand to call with here?

    $2-3 NLH at Crown
    Player A - $350
    Player B - $287

Player A has limped in ep for $3
Player B has posted in C.O for $3 after missing blinds

    2 other limpers plus blinds

    Flop KcJc4c

    Player A bets $10
    Player B raises to $30
    Player A raises to $60
    Player B calls

    Turn 7d

    Player A bets $100
    Player B calls

    River Ac

    Player A checks (in frustration)
Player B bets $122 all-in (after tanking for a little bit)
Player A calls (after alot of deliberation)

Player B turns over Qc10c for a Royal Flush
Player A mucks and when asked if he flopped a flush too, his response was no.

    Question
What is the worst hand Player A can call with in this spot?
    A set? A straight? 2-pair?

Still trying to put it all together.

Well, since he had a royal, I don't think I'd call with any worse here.

Well the worst hand he could call with is a red 2 3.

He might only be holding a pair of J's or K's, possibly 2 pair.

As he is frustrated and thinking alot before calling, you can eliminate the straight.

I have seen a similar situation in a $5 SNG (no royal but a flush from the flop) were a guy bet all the way to the end and ended up all in. All he had was pocket 2's that did not hit.

I'm thinking the worse he could call the all-in bet on the river would be a set of jacks or 4's. I'm ruling out kings, but are still likely.

Betting hard the whole way smells of a set, and he can make a hero call on the river with a set if he feels that i was stealing. Does someone bet a straight draw this hard on a flushing board too??

hmmmm - 2/3 utg - limp - smells like aces!

Frustrated at hitting set but knowing they are not good.

    either that or another set.

I like david's guess. Unless he was lying about not having flopped a flush.

He's still a spaz for calling though, if you can't read a guy as strong when he has a royal flush you really shouldn't be playing.

Obviously taking into the account the fact that he wasn't lying.

Certainly not the bare nine of clubs...

It'd have to be a set or two pair.

This is 2/3 at Crown. Could be anything.

    AK is one likely hand.

he/she is in EP waiting for someone raise so he/she can re-pop. A structured re-reaise on flop suggests a big hand. Unable to fold the river when the Ace comes (but to a 4-card flush board) suggests to me he/she improved.

Although a set of 4's is also likely. JJ is hard to believe, surely you'd raise and find out where you are. KK is even more unlikely (but still possible).

Gotta be a set - he has to know a straight is no good on this board, and seriously if he can't lay down 2 pair on this board he'd want to have a look in the mirror.

Sounds to me like he was frustrated at the river card for 2 reasons:
    1. It definitely meant he was beat now if the other player only held the Qc.
    2. The board didn't pair.
