Read: villain hasnt opened any pots and only calls once every 10 hands or so, is the check call terrible? should i be betting the flop, turn & river? player seems to be fairly tight and i cant see him flat calling pre with low cards

I fold pre (yes, you’re getting 7/1, but J2 is so bad that you’ve got to flop massive to make it worthwhile continuing post flop, and your position is obv the worst).

As played, I’m leading flop & turn (against one opponent only), perhaps slowing down on river if I’ve been called on 2 streets and c/c or c/f depending on bet size.

I’m not much of a cash player though….

Only called due to not having played a hand in ages and wanted to see a flop as i was in SB. Should i be always folding SB with anything other than say top 10-20 starting hands?

The river came & it went check check, he showed A,J to take down the pot, Something tells me i maybe could have bought it at the end with a decent sized river bet taking my position into account.

Thankyou, Ive actually begun as of lately to kick over a bit of a profit with the cashies so im pretty pleased atm.

honestly j2o, Q6s, 74o, 95s etc etc that some people will call with arent at all profitable.... In reality most hands are good at making 1 pair hand.... making 1 pair with a junk hand especially at full ring will only give you sickening reverse implied odds.... occasionally you make two pair/trips but then to make real money someone else in the hand must have hit a piece (but not too much) you really only can extract value from a thin range of hands and not get stacked when you are beat... especially in limped pots where opps ranges are littered w Axs etc which can crush you hand w trips and flushes etc..... you MAY win small pots but will def lose some big ones with all of this range of hands.... the fact that you are oop all hand def counters the increased odds you are getting.... you should be less willing to complete junk on the sb than you should be 3betting lp opens on the button with atc imo....
