From pokerstove I can see that I have a 65% equity against the top 10% of hands.

3bet and call a shove pre flop, or jam any flop if flatted.

I thought about shoving pre, but 28BB shove seems rather spewy to me.
On a non AK board that is monotone, I would probably check and fold to any resistance from a tight player who I havent seen doing anything without a decent hand.

You certainly should have 3bet whether a shove or not. As a result you now do not have a clue what he has, he easily have 78c, had he called your 3bet you could be fairly confident the flop puts you ahead.

I tried to limp with AK a few times and cut that experiment short quick like, I will try and get as many chips in pre as I can with AK. Unless I have a very good reason to fold them pre, i.e a 3bet and 4bet before me when I think there is likely to be some KK AA in play.
