    Default Bet Turn, Bet River?

This was a full-ring table but was starting to break down.

welllbet was playing at 12/3 but only over 180 hands or so

Should I have fired the turn and/or river into this rock?
As played should I ever raise the river?

I don't play 100 but do you really think a 12/3 weak-tight nit will call a river C/R with many worse hands? The only worse 2P in his range is JT and imo PF he'd only be calling with JTs and not JTo which limits how many he has in his range bigtime, if he calls it PF at all.

I'd much prefer B/F river for ~$22 as he will call with AQ, KQ, which is a large part of his range, and never raise the river with anything be beat.

Reviewing the hand at the end of session, I really don't like the way I played the river.

Checking the turn for pot control is fine against this nit but gotta bet somewhere between the 18-25 range on the river and fold to any raise.

There are a lot of hands that will mostly likely call a bet but also check behind, and therefore i'm missing a ton of value with my hand.

Pretty much spot on Tim - interested in your thoughts on why you checked the river.

you are pretty much never beat here. he's not checking behind on the turn with a set and AK he will probably 3bet preflop. 89 is not calling the flop.

just lead out for 20ish on the river or c/r to about 35.

You don't think a nit would ever, ever slowplay, especially with 2 people left to act?

nits are less likely to slowplay imo, and unless they are terrible they want to increase the money going into the pot at some stage on the first two streets. checking behind on the turn = very rarely a set imo.

i think it is possible a set flats on the flop, but they would almost always bet the turn when checked to.

they will be less likely to slowplay the more players are in left in the hand usually.
