    Default $100 Treasury Sat Early

After reading Icebirds AJo thread, I am a bit hesitant posting this one but the question is more on 'reading'.

7th hand into the tournament so the blinds were still 50/25. Table reasonably quite except for villian. 3 out of the previous 6 hands, he reraised on the flop and won without a show. For the 7th hand, I was UTG (hence the hesitance) with KQo, (first mistake) I raised 3x. Villian was in MP3 and called. Flop K8T. I raised pot size and villian reraised 2x for the 4th time in 7 hands.

Apart from not being in the hand UTG, what was my move now?

or a better question is, I had his range as 22+, 96s+, 98o+. Would I be close to a correct read here? or is he just having a damn good run of cards?

Don't bet the pot on the flop against an aggro villain now that you have flopped tp2k, the goal should be pot control/get to showdown, and extract value on the next betting round if he shows weakness on any round.

Preflop his raise could easily be this wide. He could also just be on a heater.

On the flop, that changes obviously now that he has raised you.

The mistake here is leading out for a pot bet on the flop in a non-deep tourney.

    Ta Swoop for your feedback,

I went into the sat to work more on reading the table and was concentrating to much on that. As my head wasn't in the right space (have that a lot since the stroke.) and realising my stuffup, I shoved, lost, went and won back all my ANZPT qualifying fees on roulette.

despite the lack of stack sizes, etc, in OP, if a guy has raised a flop cbet 3 out of the previous 6 hands, there is no way I am folding TP2K to him.

Waaaaay too small a sample size unless you have previous history imo. What are the stack sizes? I'd probably fold pf but now that you've opened 3x there's 375 in the pot if I'm correct, bet like 250 or so, no need to be betting pot. Happy enough to let it go when he raises with not too much invested earl in a sat. If he called my default would be to check the turn value bet river assuming he checks back.
