I think it's always situational meaning, are you in the money yet? Is it a ring game? It was well played to chip up, cunning kit was unlucky.
Someone said pushing all in straight away would make El-Sinfichas fold immediately. While that may be true, CunningKit wanted more chips and didn't want to buy the limped pre-flop calls.
I think El-Sinfichas should have gotten scared by the check-raise considering he only had Ah-3h with only one heart on the board. But he probably fell in love with his Ace, which is something I see a lot of.
No one raised pre flop, eveyone fell in love with their Ace. That's called emotion and there should be no emotion in the cards, it leads to tilt.
In all, while I again say I'm no guru, I believe the play was perfectly sound in strategic terms of getting a poor player to commit more chips to a pot you were clear favourite to win. And I really don't think pushing all in as first to act after the flop is good play when you're short stacked with rising blinds. Simply because you would only win 3xBB and may as well have folded pre-flop for almost the same result. Bad beat mate, unlucky.
With a check raise of all in there is the 'probability' El-Sinfichas would fold due to his style of play, which a lot of players find hard to change their tact in poker as they are limited in what styles they know.
