    Default AK in SB

    Question for the gurus.

I know that it might be opponent and/or stack dependent but how often are you guys 3 betting AK in the SB to an early position raise? Always?

I'm over 50BB deep and decide to flat with AK to an early position raise. Villain was fairly active so his range is pretty wide but may also include just about any ace.

I ask because there's a fine line between calling to deceive the strength of your hand to other good aces and letting the BB in cheap.

BTW, I was planning on check/calling the flop because I feel like I have the nuts nearly always here and might get three streets of value from it?

    Opinions?

I usually reraise, sometimes call. If HU you can check-call/raise Axy/Kxy flops, but three handed usually lead as he's less likely to cbet his air range.

    Good point thanks Thret.

Also, I thought afterwards that given it was a min raise I should have three bet small just to get rid of the BB?

I would have 3 bet OOP with AK there and flatted a 4 bet. As played - Donk bet the flop hope for a raise (but I'm also Donk betting that flop when I've got air). I think the BB gets to see too many cards cheaply/for free. Pretty much exactly what thret said.

Given how under repped my hand was I think I'd miss out on too much value if I didn't bet the river. I didn't give too much consideration to not betting the river - was going to value town. I know they both called turn but I still felt I was miles ahead on the turn anyway.
