Default Interesting Omaha Hand - Your thoughts Please

Ok this one should be interesting for the omaha players out there. I am very interested in any thoughts regarding this hand, including my plays on any streets. This situation occurred last night playing the $1-2 pot limit Omaha at crown:I am the button with $375, small blind has $450, UTG +1 has $220 and CO next to me has $180.So I am on the button and I raise preflop with AsAd2s2c. Preflop rasie of $10 and there are 6 callers so 60 in the pot.At this point in time I am thinking that there is a very large hand range out there so I am wary. The flop comes Qs 10s 7d. Small blind bets $15 and gets 3 callers around to me. I decide to be conservative and call.Turn card – a very suprising 2d: Board reads Qs 10s 7d 2d. So now I have hit even more of this flop. S.B bets again! This time $30 into a pot of $120 – again 3 callers around to me. I think for a good minute or two and decide to pot the turn. This pot is enough to put all the players apart from Sb all in.SB folds and UTG+1 folds as well. It gets around to loud mouth Frank and he has about half left of what my bet is. He thinks about it for a while and he calls.Interested in thoughts and analysis of my play on these streets. I will post the results shortly. Also, I forgot to mention, a couple of hands before I folded AA pre-flop in an attempt to portray a rock-like image and the only hands I had shown at showdown were the nuts.Cheers,

Looks good, especially in a loose game. If Frank has 77xx, TTxx, QQxx, well.... we have outs.

"Also, I forgot to mention, a couple of hands before I folded AA pre-flop in an attempt to portray a rock-like image and the only hands I had shown at showdown were the nuts."Unless they are seeing your AA folds preflop you are not really portraying enough of an image (however misleading it may be) for it to be worth it.On top of that, at these games you are probably better off portraying a far looser image, and getting called when you have the nuts (maybe its just my style but I find it hard to believe their is a better way).Back to the hand.....First instinct was that I didnt like the raise because of the strong chance that another player has a set, but that soon changed. However on a closer look you are giving the straight draws and diamond flush draws exactly what they want by smooth calling. On top of thata) a set of 7s MAY fold (depending how good they are)b) the SB's bet on the turn seems to small for a set of Queens or Tens, and nobody else raised which implies no set of Queens or Tens.c) the diamond draws are not to the nuts, so you SHOULD be able to get them off it.d) unless there are a few callers the straight draws should fold (depends as well on how much of the pot bet the other players can cover). So your raise was an absolute must.
    I DONT CARE!

Agree with above. i didnt like the raise either but i wasnt considering what type of game it was. Seems fairly good. I think flop call wasnt "conservative", i dont think you can go raising there. Turn was a good spot to do it with the set. Just pre flop though, if you were playing "rockish", do you think your raise there automatically marked you with AA or something like KK and 2 other broadway cards? If you were doing this with a wider range of cards then it seems pretty solid.

In another thread, you said you were 1 of 4 people OWNING the Crown Omaha game and that no one else had a chance.Or am I mistaking you from someone else?PS: well done on the AA fold. Did you then tell them you folded AA? Awesome.PPS: Gaz used to fold the nuts to me on the river - "just to throw off my reads". You could try that to really confuse a drunken Leroy...

I guess you've missed the 3469 constructive posts I've made. That's ok - they are scattered around lightly...

I would lead with a pot bet on the flop. Pot it on the turn get your money in the middle with so many outs.I put your oponent on 2pr, str draw or a smaller flush draw.

Thanks to you most of you for your input - apart from the @#$% yoyo, the worst omaha / holdem / poker play I have seen! Recent posts support my claim and my own experiences do as well - He raise me preflop in the Hi-Lo event at crown recently with 66810 - then asken me: this is a good hand isn't it? What a clown! So the river card was the 6c and i figured i was safe - WRONG. The villain had KJ98 with no flush draw. This play suprised me ( and frustrated me at the time ) but I have since come to the realization that maybe it is good play.Does anyone play straight draws on such a flush heavy board?
