Lets compare beats mate. I just got home after a long session at crown. Won 1200 on 20/40 after 10hrs(with aces 4 times getting cracked), then table breaks at 3am. Decide to play on 5/10NL. Game is 5 handed.Second hand, look down at Kc-Ks in the SB. Whole table limps, I make it 60, they all call. Flop is 6s-8s-2s. I lead out 250, two callers and button raises to 750. After a short while thinking, i muck. Next two players go all-in. Button calls. One has 5s-7s, one Qs-10s and button As-3s. Haha ok i got off the hook there. 3 flopped flushes in a 5 handed game?Anyway, a few hands later i get 4d-5d in the BB. UTG raises to 50, everyone calls, i call. Flop, 2h-3h-6d. BooYah! I check UTG bets 150, button raises to 400, i move all in for 1.5k. UTG folds, button calls instantly showing..............4h-5h. Turn 6h! GREAT!Then comes my personal favourite. Im UTG and see 10c-10s. I make it 60 to go. Button(loose as) calls everyone else folds. Flop 10d-7s-8c. I lead out 200. Button calls. Turn 2d. I bet 500, he calls. River 9c. I check, he checks showing Ad-6s. Bottom straight and scoops the pot. Great foresight and intuition by the aforementioned gentleman. Unfortunately no river bet for him after getting his miracle.Then the 2 5/10 tables are combined for the final hour of play. Im card dead the whole way through and with 5 minutes to go till the room closes, i look down to see 5s-5c. The whole table limps preflop, button(loose) makes it 60 to go and everyone calls. Flop comes Qs-Jc-5d. Checks to me, i make it 525. Button calls, SB calls everyone else folds. Turn 8h. SB checks, and after a while thinking, i move all-in for 1.6k. Button calls and immediately i know im fucked. SB folds. Button has Q-Q. And i lose my stack. Im not sure how i could have prevented this from happening, perhaps if i acted after him i could have put him on a set sfter he just smooth called my flop bet. Anyway, i did cross my mind when he called the flop that he could have had jacks or queens, but........fuck against a loose player like that, shit i dont know. So im going to go to sleep now wondering if there was anyway i dont lose my stack there. I think after i bet so much on the flop, the only bet i could make on the turn was all-in. Bah, shit, im rambling.Anyway, after all that madness, finished down 800 for the night. Dont think i made any major mistakes. Perhaps you'll see something i dont, and i can reflect in the arvo once i wake up. Damn i suck!Anyone in Melb, head to crown tonight. i guarentee a great show on the 5/10 NL game. Poor Chucky.Your Friday night 550 tourney table probably didnt help either. I hear it was a maniac table with huge bets.My mate Dougie got a bad beat too. He's been getting some major bad beats lately. So he'll join the Bad Beat club.

You just gambled in both those hands and so did your opponents. IMO your play was just as bad as theirs

Yoyo, in regards to the original hands posted, I can almost forgive the first guy because he had a double gutshot for the straight but not a play I'd make. He possibly put you on an overpair, or even a set and figured his straight would be a winner if it hit.......2nd hand, I notice Punterrob has been sitting with you for 2 and a half hours. So he must have seen you pushing on draws like this before. Admittedly its a gutsy play. From your betting I could just as easily put you on an overpair to his TPCK (Crap Kicker). Looks like he decided to take a stand and got lucky that neither your flush draw or over cards hit.If these guys aren't that good, perhaps a tighter game and showing down the best hand might be a less exciting but long run more profitable play. Just my 2 cents worth, I don't play at these levels or at SunPoker either.

lol - I wasn't asking for advice on my play, but now the topic has come up....Hand 1 - If you think Tw2000 can ever call there, you should not play poker.Hand 2 - punterob is the world's biggest idiot - despite this, I thought he would be intelligent enough to see my flop raise as a value-raise (think AA with As or KK with Ks or QQ with Ks or pretty much about 6 million hands that are ahead of him - but I knew there was a chance he might push with any pair, as he was wont to do, so it was an insta-call). My play wasn't especially brilliant - it was good in both hands, but it's just basic winning poker. If you don't understand why, feel free to ask more questions...I'm basically sharing the quality of play you'll find at these tables with my initial post - if anyone was thinking about checking out the 2/5 GBP tables, this should get you cracking...
