I'm no Hannibal, but here is the obligatory criticism post.I played in three events, the $150 NLHE, the $50 HO (PLO/NLHE rotation), and the $75 NLHE. Final tabled once, unlucky in the others. Overall, a good time was had (see, this aint all bad). One thing that really got my hackles up is this:We knocked out a player in the $75 event. Now, nowhere in any of the literature that I saw was there ANY mention of re-buys - AT ALL! They were mentioned loud and clear on the night, but not anywhere else. So be it.In and of itself, I have NO PROBLEM with rebuys, I use them all the time - that's how good I am!The problem I have, is that this player who had been knocked out and who left the table, came back almost half an hour later and re-took his seat with a full re-bought stack. WTF!In all of the tournaments I have played I have never encountered this. Have I missed something, or is this considered standard practice? I was of the impression that to re-buy, you had to do it straight away, before the next hand is dealt or at least as it is being dealt. NOT thirty minutes later, not twenty minutes later, not five minutes later, but more-or-less straight away.It is one thing to have a late entrant come in and buy-in after the start, but to allow someone to get knocked-out and then wait for as-long-as-he-wants, or whenever-he-wants-to to come back in is utter madness. What have I missed here? Am I wrong? If so I withdraw my criticism unconditionally. If this is a "house-rule" just for Pokerdome, then post it somewhere. Given the quality of the nits that kept on sucking-out on me, I would have preferred to come back in with 5-mins to go before the break and re-start with a full stack myself. There were a couple of other "teething"-type problems which were more or less sorted out, or tolerated, as well as a couple of "interpretation" matters, and so overall it was a decent three nights for me.Most importantly, the staff were good and decent and did their best. I did, and will continue to argue my point of view about a couple of minor things and it was good to see that my comments were discussed/argued-out in a gentlemanly manner. We agreed to disagree on one or two things, so be it.Thanks for the vent!
