We have removed all guarantees to ensure that we fit under our promo budget with the new VIP room promo. They will return when this promo is over. I didnt want to run the risk of a blow out. In saying that, we had a very strong week of poker across the board last week with Friday night having all tables full from 8pm - midnight and there would have been no overlays regardless except for the Wednesday Night $25 game which still has a $1k guarantee but suprisingly, only had 32 runners! Does this mean - guarantees dont work anymore? I dont believe that, so the g'tees will return soon.Cheers,PW

Jade schedules change month to month so look for the guarentees toreturn in May I'd guess. Come down and show your support for Pauland the venue at the Night of Sin on Thursday night 24th April.Guarentees are a two way street. If more of the PNWers calling forguarentees and a huge $500 buyin game in May came down and playedthe $110 more regularly I doubt think the guarentees wouldhave been dropped for April.This is not to criticize the Sydney PNWers who have been fantastic supporters of Jade in the past, just to make a economic point.For whatever reason numbers were quiet for the first few weeksin March, but Jade is turning that around. Many of the players inFriday night's $110 (winner: Doctor Straight) were smaller non-PNW Jaderegulars who were enjoying their early tastes of big stack poker.These players will be back for more on a regular basis,so if half a dozen or more of the PNWers play Jade Friday night regularly thevenue will be back to its heyday.
