Gold Coast tourneys

hey all,

first time visitor to the site and forum - tried to scan the topics in case this was already covered, so apologies if i missed the info somewhere else.

can anyone tell me of any regular tourneys on the gold coast - will be visiting in a fortnight and am keen to know what might be happening so i can plan around it!

do jupiters run any weekly tournaments?
anywhere else?

Hi Folks,

Over the past few weeks myself and Steve "the jeweller" who many Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sydney and Melbourne players would know have been working on setting up a private poker room just 3-4 minutes over the QLD/NSW border in West Tweed Heads.

Our room known as "Foxy's Poker Room" is located on a 45 acre private property that features a 9 hole golf course and has an old west style saloon function centre that was used for wedding receptions for the past 10 years or so.

This function centre has a licensed bar and kitchen, male and female toilets an outside undercover smoking area and can hold 150 people in comfort.

Next week we will be hosting a Super Poker Week from Tuesday Sept 30th to Sunday Oct 5th.

During that week we have 3 major tournament events taking place as well as satellites into these events:

Saturday 2.30pm A $220 Buy-In $8k starting stack, 20 min levels NLHE freezeout MTT will be held .

Saturday 8:30pm A $330 Buy-In $8k Starting Stack 20 min Levels NLHE Pokernews Cup $3000 Package Tournament.
10 players max per table 1 package given away per table. (6 players have already satellited into this event.)

Sunday 10:30am A $550 Buy-In $10k starting stack 30 min blinds NLHE Tourney with 1 x $11k Aussie Millions Package
Guaranteed. (a 2 hour break to have a BBQ & watch the NRL grand final will be held during this event).

We have already had some well known visitors these past couple of days, Mike Ivan, Graeme "kiwi" Putt, Jamie Pickering have all played at Foxy's in the last two days and the weekend will see some more well known faces at our events...
