Mate I'd almost say completely guarenteed if you can jag a top 7-8 finish as when I've been there, there's never been more then 13 runners.

I didnt go last week, but the structure hasnt changed so I would assume it would be a similar field.

Very friendly bunch there and Ahmed the TD is a decent bloke.

I think he was trying to promote the regular "passport" system and structure to players he thought were new to OPT league. From what I could tell though, every single player had turned up for the free ME entry.
If it wasn't for the ME entry I think the numbers would have been somewhere approaching zero. Promotion FAIL.

That's me - the TD thought I was a noob and gave me a passport. No biggie.

BTW I for one think the $10 rebuy drunkament (2000 or less chips per rebuy) is pointless even for a pub poker structure. Nobody likes it and I have no idea who in the equation keeps pushing for it's existence.

I agree with you on the "Rebuy" situation, I dont think there is a place in any pub or club for rebuys, well unlimited at least. I dont mind a 1 or 2 rebuy tourny.

Yesterday OPTs new event at royal oak had 1 table (ended up being ten players after a few knockouts)

surprise surprise.

being the convicted felon that i am and cannot drive till august i got a few friends to get me a lift there. They play poker, they were there in the carpark, they were bored and i STILL couldnt get them into play the event.
