New Zealand Poker champs

Hi All

The dates for the New Zealand Poker Champs, in association with Full Tilt Poker.net, have just been announced:- April the 2nd through to the April the 10th. Starting with the New Zealand Women's championship and finishing with the final day of the NZPC Main Event and the Las Vegas Experience event. The buy-in for this year's Main event has been set at $1,650 but with a full field of 200 competitors expected to play a first prize of $100,000 is in order.

A full schedule should be available on the Christchurch casino website, christchurchcasino.co.nz, shortly.

Yes there are plans to run satellites on Full tilt hopefully these will be starting in February.

Update:

For those looking for an update from Christchurch regarding the NZPC in light of the devastating earthquakes, the following statement was released on the Christchurch Casino website:

Unfortunately due to the recent Canterbury Earthquake, the planned New Zealand Poker Championships in April will be postponed.

We are currently working with our sponsors to look at holding the event in August 2011. We will keep everyone updated as we work through this together to ensure we get the NZPC back up and running.

All entrants who have paid for or won a satellite will have these transfered to the event later in the year. If you require a refund we are happy to do so, however please note that this cannot be processed until a slightly later date.
