On the casino web page with the details for this tournament it says full participation is 100 players giving a prize pool of $30K, how do they reconcile this with the entry being $250 + $30. Are they giving an overlay of $5K or is the trophy worth that amount or are they factoring in an extra 20 alternates in addition to the 100 max ppl. Any ideas ???????

Martin, just make it a $30K guarantee and then you would probably fill it, would it not be worth thinking about as a promotional idea at very little cost, and then you could say you had a new record number of runners, and use that in your advertising/promotional work ...............or would the bean counters knock it on the head ?

when i bought in today by phone there were only 30 seats sold, which seems a bit small for such a tourney with good price/structure, which is not often seen in QLD casinos.

Good first ANZPT week event with the Deep Stack selling out and hitting the 120 players for the $30k prize pool.

From July the Deep Stack will be run on the last Saturday of each month and I will now need to increase the runners to 150 as I hated having to close off the event yesterday with players still looking to buy-in.

Remember the Hall of Fame Classic is on Sunday 22nd and it too has a cap of 120 players so if you want in, better get a move on.

Buy-in is $1,000 +$100

ANZPT flight 1a starts tomorrow at 12:00.

The players party is on Wednesday at 8pm
