Majority of players obviously intending to play Day 1b.
Majority of players obviously intending to play Day 1b.
This has to be the worst start to a "tour" (and I use that term loosely) in history.
Not since the NPL United Kingdom Open has a "tour" kicked off in such dramatic and embarrassing fashion.
The Gold Coast event will be successful (definitely get more than 8 runners) but cant see this being a successful venture.
Good luck to those involved.
Day1b had 4 starters (1 was someone who played yesterday having a 2nd shot), 3 survived and will join the 6 survivors from yesterday's Day1a, for day 2 which has also become the final day. This farce is almost over folks, hang in there, and we will soon know who our inaugural WPPT Champ is !!!
Pokerasiapacific reporters, I don't mind the use of my posts as a head up to issue your "own" news releases but at least get the facts right, there are only 9 left not 12, 12 is the total starting field number for combined days 1a and 1b.
So we finally have our "FEBRUARY 9".

What do you mean "use of my posts as a head up to issue your news releases"?
Are you retarded and think that you are breaking the news on WPPT Goa? Not sure if you notice, but we've been doing some promotional stuff for WPPT over the past few months ... and I think you're forgetting of a little thing called live reporting.
It's a new concept that might take off, where people go to an event and report on what is happening. I think Goa had some stuff ... maybe ... Live Reporting | World Professional Poker Tour (Feb 2012) | WPPT 50k Main Event | PokerNews
So not sure how you are BREAKING THE WPPT GOA NEWS TO THE WORLD ... but pull your head in please.
Yes, I would also like to know where APA hijacked your thread too?
also where it is stated that only 12 are left??
My only critic of the live reporting is that there were 11 entrants but 12 entries.
Judging by the local interest alone on last Friday nights sat at Jupiter's, the Gold Coast event will be a success. Being as Jupiter's was initially the inaugural event for this tour with Goa being a late, very late addition. I understand the lack of support. Would've like to have seen more interest from the locals but shite happens.
Will be interesting to see how the next Goa WPPT will be with more planning.

After Monday and Tuesday...
even the calendar says
W T F.
i'm going to reserve judgement until after Gold Coast also. However, after the failure in India i'd imagine they'd want maybe 150+ at Gold Coast to be happy. I doubt whether this will happen.
pz to all
How could they expect a good turnout without Sangeeth Mohan there... He's like Sachin Tendulkar in India, a true national icon.
Seriously rickwaa be more of a loser.
