    After months of closely working with government agencies and the Australian Taxation Office, the APL is pleased to announce the launch of its own permanent poker clubs under the ‘Aces Poker Lounge’ brand.The plan is to roll out 10 locations over the next 6 months in Sydney metro as well as regional NSW in key strategic locations, which maximizes its reach without diluting its own Pro-Series type of events currently being offered.The APL has undertaken an extensive legal & viability study and has developed a product that conforms to the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing Unlawful Gambling Act legislation.We have also received direct written policies and procedures from the Australian Taxation Office regarding our responsibilities and requirements concerning the offering of such product.With over 100 years of combined experience in the gaming and entertainment industry at APL head office alone, we are confident we can deliver a worldclass product, the highest level of customer service together with the latest technology.Over the coming weeks we will announce the specific venues in which the ‘Aces Poker Lounges’ will be located and invite all our pro-series players to attend the launch parties.Regards,

    You haven't even announced the launch - you've just announced the announcement.It would be good for one of these operators to come out with a real guarantee that their game is legit.No-one wants the legal hassles that APA members had to endure in Adelaide.This guarantee has to be more than a marketing announcement or an on-the-nod assurance.

    If the APL does actually have something tangible that legitimises them (they claim they do), they are very paranoid about letting other people see this piece of evidence. I went to an APL franchising meeting in Brisbane last year, and a number of people were very concerned about legitimacy of operations, and the APL guys kept assuring them that they were legit, but seemed unable to produce anything tangible apart from the old line "just trust me".

    Is the APL still run by ex-pit managers and ex-supervisors from Star City?These idiots couldn't run successful (read fair and honest) home games, let alone do their jobs properly, so they left, ripping off some of their mates in the process, and started the APL. If these same people are still running things, I'd be very careful about doing any kind of business with them.
