Best wishes to Joe, the Directors, Virus and Sarne for a successful launch and future from all at Pokernetwork.the Master
Thanks for your kind words Maurie.I think the time had come for the APA to have its own website. I am sure it will be to benefit of poker players around Australia.Hope to see you in June.As the June tournaments are a PNW ranked event we will provide you with all details of all tournament results. It will be easier if you are present.
Commercial pressures have overtaken Pokernetwork and we have restricted PAR rankings to licensed land based Casinos which have an advertising agreement with PNW. We regret that these arrangements do not permit the ranking of APA, QPPA or NPA or other Club events.

I am confident that you are a genuine and honest man,Master. You always have been.THANK YOUHowever, the decision to exclude all non-land based Casino poker clubs and Associations does draw a line in the sand to some extent. It is also strange that this decision has just been made( or surfaced ) some 36 hours after the APA website www.poker-apa.com was lauched by Poker Pty Ltd. A coincidence I am sure. No innuendo implied,ok? Aussie Poker needs a unified front to amalgamate all players and continue to move forward. You would have to agree on this point, Maurie.Alienating non-Casino playing groups from rankings that PokerNetwork is solely in charge of is a sad shame.Based on what you have stated above - you only rank as an Aussie Poker Player if you attend Crown or Star City Events. My question is, Maurie, would this change if the APA , QPPA, NPC or Westies applied to advertise at Poker Network and support the banner income ?TonyManilaTONY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EMAIL ME AT INFO@POKERNETWORK.COM I WILL ATTEMPT TO REPLY IN DETAIL

Am i reading this right??you have to have an advertising aggreement with PNW, i can understand that they are not a proper casino, but come on master how about supporting the little guys???Daniel
The QPPA rankings are listed on our clubsite, so at the worst, is it possible to have the PAR rankings listed as the official rankings, and the results from the APA, QPPA, NPC etc combined to form a club rankings table?
A raise from a passive, straightforward player who thinks you're tricky likely has a very different meaning than a raise from a tricky, aggressive player who thinks you're a maniac.Gary Carson
Besty (not Betsy)that has been the case and will continue to be so.All club pages continue to be free pages. The APA declined to take a page as they have opened their own poker-apa web site.DanielPNW continues to provide free advertising to Club/Home pages and pioneering sites such as PokerKnights who have requested it.TonyThe very fact that the APA have developed their own site makes it in conflict with those sites advertising on PNW. I am hoping that poker-apa will develop their own ranking system. I have commented further on your post as a matter of public interest. Thank you for the moderate approach.
The decision is not a popular one, it seems, Maurie.Thankfully, staying in business these days is NOT a popularity contest - or PokerNetwork would no doubt lose points on this issue.A shame.

Yes the APA was offerred a page, however the APA has got to the position of needing its own website. One of the reasons the APA has grown so fast is because of the free advertising offered by Maurie and PNW over the years.I am sure that the poker community of Australia will now benefit from having 2 poker sites to look at.
