Default Everest Poker - AVOID at all costs

What a joke. I turn up to the PNEWS WSOP event 20 minutes late and find that I am already out of the event and can't even oberseve the tournament!! Since it was impossible to obtain any details at all on the event from the Everest software...what a joke that is...Can someone explain to me please how it is possible tobe blinded out of an event after just 20 minutes?? That wouldn't be possible even on a turbo event on Pokerstars. I would strongly advise people to avoid this site, especially when the software formatting is complete junk, plus the fact they clearly haven't a clue how to run a tourament.

The Everest tourney policies are actually far superior to many other sites. Removing absent players is a good policy, especially in freerolls.

I don't know what the other policies Everest has when compared to other poker sites, but frankly its largely irrlevant and not the focus of this discussion.Removing absent players ISN'T a good policy unless it is at a cash game and they are away for extended period, thereby hogging a seat which someone else might like. Unfortunately no poker site seems to throw these complete losers off the table. In tournaments it should be expected and demanded that all players remain live until blinded away...its the players money and they have a right to lose it as they wish. Yes, sit the player out if he isn't there so it doesn't hold the game up.....but NEVER remove them. You would have to be an IDIOT to think that was a good policy at a poker tournament. The ONLY issue here is how is it possible Everest blinded away players within the first 20 minutes? It wasn't even possible to find out what the time for each level was. The information available was about 10% of what Pokerstars provides. I use to think FTP was unfriendly with its layout when trying to find various events, but Everest almost seems like a step back 10 years..quite amazing. Clearly Pokernetwork never actually looked at the software before becoming involved with them.

Their freeroll policy makes perfect sense. Two-thirds of the players registered for this satellite were absent, so those players were removed after about ten minutes, meaning those of us who were there didn't have to play three handed, trying to steal dead blinds.OP, you're telling us to avoid everest at all costs because they followed their published tournament procedures? Get a grip.

My goal isn't to 'fit in well here'. Thats a stupid goal. My goal was to establish why I was deleted from the tournament even though I was a valid player. So try and stay focussed cameron. If your suggesting that all players absent after 10 minutes were removed from the tournament...then I am extremely happy to remain with ny initial post..and suggest everyone AVOID EVEREST POKER. No other poker site treats their customers so badly. I am more than happy to allow dead players to remain seated, even if it means just 3 of the 10 are present, if it also means allowing each person the right to turn up as they please after the start. Any other policy shouldn't even be entertained by poker sites...and clearly the evidence is they don't. Case closed.
