AA vs KK how do i not go broke?

Playing a tourney the other day and deep into the blinds i am relatively short stacked with about 1500 in chips average is about 2500, cant remember what the blinds were exactly, i think maybe 75 150I am under the gun with KK i limp in and send it around the table, Middle to late position raises it to 600, he has me well covered with about 5000, i push, he calls and the rest is historyHow do i not get busted here? am i right in saying, this is just right cards very wrong time? or have i made a bad play somewhere.Besides folding pre flop i dont see how this can be avoided, and folding KK preflop is just ridiculous?

you had an 18% chance to win.I was in a tourny last wednesday.iwas UTG and limp with KK,blinds 100/200. all fold to dealer who raises 600 to steal. Big Blind calls. I raise all in. Dealer folds his steal, and BB calls in an instant.Yep, he had AA.flop x,x,Kturn xriver KQuads for me.moral of the story, just hope you are one of the 18% when you are KK against AA. your play was correct.

I think just calling would of been a better move not knowing the playing style of your opponent. You can then get away from your hand if an ace falls on the flop. You would still have 900 in chips. If the chip count was different say you had 1200 instead of 1500 when the hand started then your move is a correct one. The other option is to flat call the raise and then to move in no matter what comes on the flop.(Stop and Go).

With blinds sizes this relatively shallow, you can't do anything about it. Don't worry about it, you'll catch AA with someone holding KK just as often.

its coz u have no idea how to play poker u moronfirstly KK is an ok hand but not really a winner...i rate it amongst a low connector or suited offsuit..if u wana play junk like that then u should learn how to calc odd and not be such a gay
