Fun times for all at Jade Tavern last nightwith the inaugural Jade Tavern night of sin.There was an excellent line up of PNW Jaderegulars, including Hannibal, seawasp, alcoop,Kh4lil and StrongPlay. Also along was Irish,a regular Star City player. Kabo7 made thetrip in from Sydney's west, picking up somevaluable hints on how to run tournaments.He played heads-up Omaha against Doctor Straight,and went home shaking his head after his higherflush than mine got one-outed to a full houseon the river, and I rivered a royal flush thenext hand (the royal flush held up).A humorous seat draw put most of the PNW guys onthe same starting table.The most staggering revelation came early in thenight when someone invited me to look at his entrycard. Written on said card was the followingname: Dean Banana P.Yes, Dean Banana P exists, and he has played alive tournament. His earliest live experienceswere at the just-opened PokerDome Newtown, so no wonderhe now plays mostly online. He's a very nice guyon last night's evidence. It looked as though hehadn't had any sleep for a week from playing online,he's on the way to becoming the new Punty. He tookon fellow online pro StrongPlay heads up at the endof my night there, he was pretty card dead preflopand finally when he got pocket TT he was outdrawnby StrongPlay's pocket AA.The night was more about entertainment than purepoker, with topless lingerie dealers and the drinkflowing freely. With respect to the ladies concerned,they are some of the worst dealers I've ever laideyes on. Start at the small blind, deal to the stacksand finish at the button, for christ's sake. I'vehonestly had better dealing at a PokerDome Sit and Go.Following the betting action can also be a fine way ofknowing that the table is ready for the turn card, girls.At the start of the second level blinds went up to 50-100and bras came off, but all I could think about was Iwas under the gun and down to only 7 big blinds. The startstack was 4000, I'd suggested to SinCity Admin that hemake the start stack a wicked 6900 but 4000 it was.The final four players were dealt to by the conservativelyclothed Jade TD Harry. Harry, who's worked with Danny Mc Donagh,is excellent at running the table and following the action.He's rapidly gaining a deserved reputation as an excellent youngTD. My Jade protege Bash was in the final 4 as I left, sohopefully he took it down.Not one of the best tournament from a poker standpoint, but another of the great nights at Jade.
