Default Martin Harvey: new face of PokerNews Australasia

It seems as though Paul Koury has vacated his spot as the Pokernews Australasian reporter / interviewer and is headed to Vegas to do some TV work etc. However, another witty and allround good bloke, by the name of Martin Harvey, is the front runner to take over the interviewing duties for all live major poker tournaments for PokerNews. Good luck to Martin and lets all get behind him as he is a great character and is perfect to fill Paul's shoes.

Most of you guys would know Martin Harvey from the past few months or so. He's a poker player, originally from the UK, but know living in Brisbane, and has been so for the past 10 years or so.He's one of the big APL bosses, and also works with some of the poker companies in Queensland. Was an actor back in the UK before moving with his family to Australia - and now officially declares himself as a true-blue Aussie!!First time we heard of him was during the PokerNews Cup late last year where he came 4th in the HORSE event to Billy the Croc. Regular cash player during those times, and was also down here for the Aussie Millions and Joe Hachem deep-stack series.

Yeah i agree with you T6teesix. Paul Koury was a good mate of mine, and it will be a shame to lose a guy that has a great charactor and natural flair for the job. However Martin is the person for the job especially if you're talking about player rapport. Great bloke, funny, and can spin some tales when you let him. Poker wise i regard him as a fish, but he has a great poker mind both live and online. However, cash games . . . . . mmmmm, he normally has a pint or 7 in his hand, so he tends to just have fun everytime we play together down in the Crown Poker room. Whoever has played with on a $2-3 table was probably very happy :-P
