Default Is there any worse poker software than 888/pacific

Gaz...for some time now I have been unable to make deposits on this computer to Pacific, program crashes, so have been making them on another. A friend of mine has the same problem. When I tried to see my history to lodge a complaint my computer 'crashed' again so I can't fill in the forms requested by Pacific to answer my query!!!!My problem is I won a tournament on the 9th march for a seat in the Melbourne Poker Championships, tournament number 1977?477 and a week later won another seat, tournament number 19057503. With only 4 weeks to go to the MPC I still have not heard from Pacific as to how I collect my seats? Can you clarify?Jim Hogan

I as going to come on and complain about the poor graphics, terrible (just really really terrible) lobby, bugs with the site, lack of pot size, but heck I just won the Melbourne Champs satellite on Pacific tonight, so all those things seem bearable!!!The one thing I like about Pacific is displaying the blind levels (incl. next blind level) on the table with the clock.

I actually get what yoyo is saying about Cake and 888/pacific being good in a way.The graphics grind on, the software is somewhat unstable and clunky but a key plus is that the deal speed is awesome. Taking away all those deal animations actually gives players the one thing they love faster deal. While i agree the software needs a lot of work, i hope they don't lose that deal speed in the process. Also please update the sounds, it can't be that hard!

I think the best poker software is PokerPages/Bugsy. I cut my teeth freerolling there, and it is just so simple and elegant. No horrible flashy garish pop-ups and announcements, just purely functional. I would still play there if it were big enough. If you want $1 tournaments, or hundreds of tables at once, it is absolutely the best place to go. The players are all pretty inbred though, I just popped back on to check the software and I still had notes on 50% of the table I looked at. I knew 3 of them by first name, lol.

another software problem at pacific. A friend was unable to find the tournaments. The tournament tab is labeled as multitable, in addition to this if the holdem tab is not also selected no tables will display

OK Gaz, let's clear that up right now. The first tourny I played myself and won, the second one my wife asked if she could play so she sat alongside me and gave her instructions as to how she thought the hands should be played. AT ALL TIMES I was the one sitting in front of the computer and it was MY hand operating the mouse. I also over-ruled her directions many times when I thought she was making a bad move. To satisfy her female ego however, and to keep the wife happy, I said that she had won the seat but in effect it was ALWAYS my decisions and MY mouse movements that decided the play. So...does that clear that up? my E-Mail is jtbm999@yahoo.com.au and I have NOT received ANY E-Mails from you!Jim

As Bugsy said:4) tourney timesA satellite to a tournament needs to have a link to that tournament or tell in how many hours that tournament is . 5) tournaments not opening automatically when you are paid and registeredthis is just an outright disgrace, no player should lose their money because they dont know a tournament has started and the software doesnt always tell them- Adjustable Lobby. The lobby is too small, if it could be maximised or changed, you would not need to scroll back and forth to look at tourney Details.- More on the bet slider. I prefer to type my bet sizes in. However this becomes a hassle as "Return or Enter' does not actually do anything. So I type my raise in, then have to click the raise button as well. Annoying.Other than that, I like 888, and find myself playing there more and more.
