Free flights looking like a SCAM

I managed to speak to someone at TLC Australia today - it wasn't easy tracking down their number, but I got it.They confirmed that they are indeed handling the flight requests of the Australian people who participated in the Australian promotion, but she couldn't tell me when they will be getting in touch with people.Once again I left my name and was assured a manager would call me back between 5pm and 6pm tonight.It may not necessarily be a scam which is good news, but it sure doesn't seem to be very professional.

The scheme went well initially. Later, the bank started receiving complaints from its customers regarding breach of commitments by the travel companies.

TLC Marketing phone numbers for anyone to call. Go ahead, give them a call !! I briefly spoke with InterCasino today and asked if they would re-imburse people who completed the promotion when they inevitably choose to book a flight which actually exists - they said they would call me back.It's kind of like every job application I've ever been for ... just never do get that elusive call back ..Anyway, knock yourselves out calling these guys.Mark Sheppherd +441792630694Mark is apparently in charge of flight promotions for TLC UK. He has repeatedly failed to answer my questions, and during our most recent discussion made it pretty obvious that TLC will be adopting a "you didn't correctly follow the T&C of the promotion" as reasoning to reject my flight. He also rang my home at 3am yesterday morning to tell me my documents never arrived - however quickly changed his tune when he found out that his company had actually signed for them.Marie ________?? +442074875155Marie is the booking agent for TLC Marketing UK and works out of their London offices. Of course no one ever answers this phone number, and it strikes me as odd that a large multinational corporation doesn't actually have a recorded message, but whatever. This mythical creature is the person who will be booking all of our flights "if the applications were made in accordance with the T&C" - and assuming they actually acknowledge receipt of the forms.Nutella - (02) 8904 7200Nutella (yep that's her name, not sure on spelling). Seemed to be a nice girl, tried to help, promised to have Marie or Mark call me between 9am and 10am London time. so you dont have a job either? no one calls back, why is that? With unemployment at record lows,wages at all time highs. Oh well just hang on a minute, chat to yoyo and maybe he will investigate a little more, things take time, i have also qualifyed for the promotion, if it comes through yaye, if not nothing lost+2 hundo.It passed the time lol,if it is a scam we wernt hurt too much and will get on to the next big thing lol.If you had relied purely on this promotion to get to Vegas,I would say that was poor judgement.

Actually Scotty I was being faecicious, I actually work as an adviser to a Member of Parliament.I understand that things take time - but TLC Marketing have shown a complete reluctance to answer any of my questions, refuse to return my calls, and generally give me the indication that getting a free flight is going to be about as simple as space travel.The fact that they now are trying to position themselves to tell people that a) their forms were never received or b) they didn't comply with the T&C pisses me off.I actually made a few hundred dollars from the promotion, but that couldn't be less relevant in my opinion. People are entitled to their flights to the USA, and I am certainly going to do everything I can to make that happen. If you want to be blase about it, that's cool aswell. If you want to write it off as "lesson learned" I certainly won't stop you, but I think people are entitled to get what they are promised - and I'm happy trying to give people the information to make these decisions for themselves.The fact that this company has been getting away with running these promotions in the past and failing to deliver is just another reason why consumers should practice vigilence - and demand what they are promised.

Good one, you are the man for the job, surely you can get the government to screw some new legislation up their ass! keep us updated, you should be an expert at dealing with bureaucracy and on hold and on leave, in a meeting, on stress leave, or just plain couldnt be fucked.
