Thanks for the update. At $1300 for the ticket I will certainly think twice about taking it. I'm not really that enthusiastic about going to America, I would have gone for nothing though. They probably deliberately chose flights with lots of taxes and surcharges that was cheap to them. Or they did some creative accounting as to what was a fare and what was a surcharge.

Someone told me two weeks ago that you can fly to US for $1500 inc taxes as full fare, I forget which airline she quoted, might have been Malaysian Airlines.
Better to do that, then you can choose the dates and go to which city you want.

I had forgotten all about this until someone mentioned it to me today.

I am incredibly sorry for having recommended this promotion and it seems the entire thing went pearshaped due to the incompetent and unethical actions of a company hired by InterCasino - and also InterCasino's shocking failure to rectify the situation quickly and take proactive steps to ensure every player got the flight they were promised.

As I stated before, I would not have recommended this promotion were it not for InterCasino's spectacular 10 year record of flawless and ethical customer service and promotions. I realise no one is holding me to blame (or no one has told me they are anyway) but I feel crappy for having indirectly sent everyone to this promotion, especially anyone that lost money clearing the wagering requirement.

InterCasino did a HUGE amount of damage to their (previously) perfect reputation by not stepping in and simply shipping out funds to every player to book their own flights. I guess they decided rectifying the damage to their brand name was not worth the expense of 50,000 flights or whatever. They should be ashamed and they'll pay for it in the long run - casino players and affiliates have long memories.

I also want to make it clear I was not marketing this promotion for financial gain - I genuinely believed it was just about the best online casino promotion I'd seen and wanted to share it with others. For those of you who thought or said: "No such thing as a free lunch!"...the logic is true in most cases but in my years taking advantage of online casino promotions, nothing could be further from the truth. Casinos are flush with cash, often run by morons, and for a period of time I made a living purely from "free lunches" at online casinos - I also know Swedish super casino bonus whores who made high 6 figures and in one case, a 7 figure amount purely from online casino bonuses/promotions.

Anyway, the links I used on PNW to market it were PokerNews links to InterCasino. On my blog, I used my own links as I wanted to get a good InterPoker deal for rakeback. I ended up pocketing no money or profits whatsoever and myself lost 5-6k chasing the dumb tickets.

Sorry again that this one crashed and burned. I'll save my advice for myself in the future.....

I have no problems with your recommendation Yoyo. You have advised us before to read the t&c's ourselves on these deals before we do anything. I did read it and came to the same conclusion you did. I didn't think to Google TLC Marketing and obv no one else did.

So keep posting them, I think it will be a lot harder for them to catch us all out again....Colin

I know I've said this to YoYo privately, but I should post it publicly aswell.

It's ridiculous for you to apologise mate, you found this offer and gave everyone a chance to get on board. Personally I made a few hundred bucks playing Pai Gow (in large part due to the instructional link you provided) and had a bit of fun.

The flights didn't work out, but that's certainly not your fault.

Many may not know but YoYo made a significant sum of money by finding bonuses on online poker and gaming sites, and is a wealth of information on the subject of finding and clearing bonuses.

I'm more than happy for him to point me in the direction of offers like these anytime he finds them!!

    Oh, and, $%#$ TLC Marketing.

It actually wasn't possible to google TLC marketing when we took up the offer. The offer was advertised at InterCasino and they didn't tell us that candidates would be dealing with another marketing company to get their flight.
So really, not much we could have done.
I think it wasn't that bad, losing $84 on average is not that bad, there's a lot worse things that casinos can do. Still, we should have got the flight.

Today i got a registered post delivery confirmation which is signed so i have evidence that TLC has received my booking form, now i have 3 weeks to wait for them to contact me.

For those of you who never got contacted by TLC, you should complain to the ACCC, since the company has an australian office and has to be accountable under Australian Law. This is what i plan to do if i hear nothing.

Anyone got any ideas what I could do if offered a flight but with unreasonably high taxes? or would i just be completely screwed

    Cheers
