I would like to start by saying that I think it was a mistake for me to start a post on this issue. I think its something that should have been handled in the halls of the Rio, and not on an Australian public forum.I would like to apologise to both Tiffany and PokerNews, but would like to also state that my intentions were not to be of a negative nature but intended to provide an interesting scenario to the PokerNetwork members. If any relationships have been damaged by my post then I happily take responsibility, and hope that they can be mended as Tiffany keeps climbing her way up the leaderboard as we hit the final 35 players (dinner break day 6).I hope all parties involved understand that I'm sincerely apologetic and definately regret my post.

I'm not sure why u would apologise for bringing up this situation. It highlights a common problem today, like Ronaldo at Man Utd who signs a 5 yr contract and now wants out. I've seen a copy of the contract that Tiffany signed clearly stating. A. Poker News paid all her entries.B She was to promote Poker News and wear there clothing.C. She would be playing for 33% of the prize money.Where is the confusion here?. If Nike had a contract with someone they would b pissed if they went on TV wearing Adidas!!I think it is so sad that what could have been the best story to come out of this World Series, may end up being a Jamie Gold sequel.

It'sall Sepp Blatters fault, sticking up for Ronahldo and saying Man.U are treating him like a slave. (Do you know many slaves on 140,000 sterling a week, for kicking a bag of air around)Man.U should keep him stuck to the contract and let him play in the reserves, what's the point of a contract otherwise.?Anyway, I digress, I heard Tiffany is going out with Ronahldo, and he's teaching her all he knows

The Nike & Addidas analogy is so silly.UB & Pokernews are not competitors. However the bad press UB is getting is relevant as thats what pokernews will be worried about, being associated with a company that cheats its players.

I think I speak for most when I say that Tim has done a fantastic job of covering the 2008 WSOP for PokerNews. In my personal opinion I think he is an asset to PokerNews not only from his quality writing but also for the relationships he has developed within the Australian and International poker community. I personally met Tim for the first time at the Melb Champs, and enjoyed chatting to him and sharing a laugh as he walked the room updating chip stacks and important hands for PokerNews. In hindsight his post may have been a little innapropriate, but clearly I think Tim - as he has done for the last 6 weeks - was just trying to bring the WSOP a little bit closer to the hundreds of Australian poker fans on PNW.It would be a shame if one error of judgement (if it can even be called that) should stop Tim from representing PokerNews at events in the future.I

I thrid the motion, his reporting, especially in the aussies in the WSOP thread saved a lot of us sifting through pages and pages on the live reporting site to find what the aussies are doing.I also don't think the original post was that bad. He asked a legit question, thought ebtratal may have been a little strong in terms of language to use, the overall question was a legit one.
