i dont think there will be a decision regarding the other charges until the police decide about an appealtodays result is good news for all those charged in the "APA raid" as well as those reported after the APA raid for like offences judgment is a good read - best bit reads..."i find that the game of texas holdem poker as played on 8 june 2005 was a game where the element of skill predominated"well played dr bob

Yes I would like to read judgement. I don't know but I guess this would mean that anyone could now offer buyins and prizemoney at any corner pub. This would give Adelaide other options and effectively take away the monopoly that the casino presently has. Surely this is good for poker players.

I don't know the full story on this one, I think it was unfolding as I joined up here.Something about a venue being raided? From a proffessional point of view, i'd like to join in the chorus of some rapper chap, and chant "Fuck the Police'

A few pages? This is FRONT COVER material!!! Sean, work hard to make it so, mate.Congratulations Joe, Paul, Phil and everybody who worked hard on this. Justice has prevailed. This is wonderful news for poker players not only within South Australia, but throughout the entire country.I'm disappointed I didn't find out until nearly 24 hours after the announcement, but rapt I found out at all! I'm also interested in reading the ruling. If it's possible, can someone involved inform us all of a way to view this online? I wouldn't expect all that to be published in Bluff.

I am a solicitor in Adelaide trying to get my hands on a copy of this decision. The Magistrates Court have been unhelpful in providing it to me. Could someone please post the action number of the matter so that I can follow it up?
