Spoke to manager at Adel Cas yesterday who said opening date was to be 12 JUL O5 but now looks more like end of Jul sometime. Dealers are still in training now 100%. And guess what, theyre even going to play manila lol but most games will be fairly small.

Can't wait for the Adelaide casino poker.Hidden upstairs somewhere and dealt by bored dealers.Supervised by a Pit Boss who knows nothing about poker and wishes all poker players would go home.Yes I can't wait for the day.

Yes Andrew, it does look fishy, but the fact of the matter is that all the new poker players signed up by the APA (approx 10 per week) will finish up in the casino. The work done by the APA will be of enormous value to a "new" Adel Cas poker room, and they must know it. Im one for conspiracies but this time there seems to be no motive. Yes JK its going upstairs again but there is a lot of traffic these days.

Hi Alan,I was there for about twenty minutes, before I had to leave as I was about to vomit. It made me sick to see what they have done to the once glorious Adelaide casino. And yes there is passing traffic upstairs,80% of them over 70 with blue rinse hair, looking for the slots.Adelaide poker, just before it closed, could not compete with the clubs,so how on earth could they compete now.Same staff ,same location. The idiots have not realised in fifteen years that this is the wrong spot to have the poker.Poker in Adelaide ,to be sustainable, should only have three or four tables and be located on the main floor.Instead it will be hidden right at the back of the top floor, without any signage to show patrons where the poker is located.I remember many years ago when I worked in Adelaide, there were players playing there for years and they did not realise that Adelaide had poker. So much for good advertizing ,promotions and a good location.I doubt if anything will change to make poker a viable proposition in Adelaide casino.

I must admit that im not a fan of the adelaide casino. however, if they are going to put poker in there im not going to argue about where they put it etc. if they make hard to find then you may be able to avoid all those people that dont know what they are doing. example, look at the party pit. its the only place to find a $5 black jack table (my game of choice at the moment, cos im too cheap to play the higher tables). but you get people that dont know what they are doing, hit on 15 when the dealer is showing a 5 and ruin it for everyone (its happened before).last time i went there is was lucky, all 4 of us knew what we were doing and i ended up $125 up, with a little help from a perfect pair. DAMN THE NEW SIDE GAME PERFECT PAIRS. i paired up 2 7 of spades, then hit and pulled another 7 of spades. 3 years ago it would have paid me 7k for a $1 bet, that day, it pade 62.50 for a 2.50 bet.end rant :P
