Amazing that admin. have the time to hunt down innocuous threads and move them to OT, but leave posts like A_Helmuth's alone.

I'm not Jewish, nor even particularly sensitive to this kind of *humour*, but srsly Admin. get your priorities in order here.

Can you shed some light on how this works? Are we talking about chip dumping during the tournament amongst a team? I've heard about this for vietnamese syndicates in vegas, i.e. Men the master's teams.

Toysteel,
A good team will not do complicated things to gain an advantage.
Doyle Brunsons' team used very expensive equipment to win $16,000,000 from an unsuspecting player, before they were caught out by accident.
This is too expensive, complicated and dangerous.

As usual, the simplest is the best.
To gain a big advantage over the table, the team just has to "soft play" each other. Not betting each other and only betting the nuts against the other players will ensure that both team members will go deep into the tournament.

It is not what the team wins but what they don't lose by soft playing.

I don't see how this is an advantage, especially in a no-limit tournament, given that blinds are increasing, they are delibrately giving up +EV opportunities because of softplay. If anything, this would be -EV.

can you suggest something for them to change? - out of the list of wonderful suggestions you placed earlier:

1) buying new chips - they already have two sets, more is not gunna happen.

2) tougher/more transparent penalties - Deb mentioned that penalties fit the crime and anyone with concerns can contact her directly. I assume you have done this, what can you report to the rest of this forum?

3) is not the responsibility of Star City.

So do you have anything else to add? - or are you retired from live tournaments around the globe?

(ps. was the beat you copped THAT BAD that you had to start this thread to make yourself feel better?)

(pps. lol?)
