I was playing around with the template the other day and I thought I saved it correctly before I uploaded the new template … however it would appear that my spasticism as a computer geek failed tremendously and consequently I lost all my add-ons, plug-ins and gadgets from my blog … so that is the reason that it’s looking rather plain
On a positive note I was out looking for a card for my mums birthday and I come across a card which I thought was awesome (from a gamblers point of view), not for my mum …
I’ve really been trying to be as consistent as possible with my fitness over the last few weeks. Obviously over summer there are plenty of distractions with drinking and parties and bad food etc, but I’ve been very solid with my running, lots of push ups, core training and body weight exercises … I really believe this style of training to be some of the best you can do (for everybody in general, but particularly for poker players) for a number of reasons:
1. You don’t need any special equipment … you can do them in your bedroom, in your lounge or office, in your hotel room, in a park outside … literally anywhere!!
2. You can train your whole body and get a great work out with a minimal number of exercises, and do it all in 30 mins or less!! No BS isolation exercises or machine weights here … just real-world training and results!
3. You don’t need to go to a gym or pay any membership fees etc.
4. By exercising outside or wherever else you feel comfortable, you will have a lot more fun and be more inclined to stick with it.
5. Its great for both men and women.
6. Great for bragging rights and prop bets with chin up and push up challenges!!
7. You will improve your strength, flexibility, power, endurance, confidence, self esteem, you will look great and you’ll be a tiger at the tables!!!
Poker fit group will be starting a group training session to be held at Albert Park Lake reserve very soon and we are looking for people to come along to help make this a success. We will also look to expand to other inner metropolitan areas as demand increases. To register your interest please email me now at …

I’ve had quite a disappointing last couple of days grinding the $12T SnG’s on stars. I’ve played a total of 127 of them in the last 2 days for a total result of -$64??? What a frustration!!!
Now I know 127 is not a very big sample, but overall now I’ve played 2500 of them for a total profit of $4600?? And my sharkscope stats are as follows …
the102 2,514 $2 $14 17% $4,611
Not bad I guess, but over the course of my last 700 games I’ve dropped over $1000 in profits L and I just seem to be coasting along and not really making any REAL progress at the moment … which I am finding frustrating.
So I’ve decided that I need to spend some time training and really working on my game, because I do believe they represent great value and a great, low-risk way to build a bankroll, but I’m just running a little stagnant at the moment and I’m hoping its just variance … but I’ll spend some time training and chatting in the forums and update again soon on my progress!!
R U a SnG freak???
If anyone does particularly well in SnG’s and is looking for a Sng training partner or someone to chat with about their game etc, please email me at jason@pokerfitgroup.com because I am looking for someone to chat ‘game’ with.

Last but not least … my 7 day food diary!!
I’ve decided to keep a 7 day food diary as a little experiment. The rules are: I am allowed to eat whatever I want. Whatever I want to eat instinctively I am allowed to have. If I am at work and I’m busy and all I get to eat is a muffin and a coffee, then that’s OK, as long as I write down every thing I eat and what time I eat it etc. I also jot down how I’m feeling, how my energy levels are, how’s my mood, my general mind-set, if I feel like killing someone today etc. etc.
My reason for doing this is to see exactly what I do consume when I’m not really paying attention and just eating for the sake of eating & drinking etc and what effect that has on my general well-being.
I’ve been going for a couple of days now and I can tell you one thing … the more rubbish I eat, the more I want to eat!! And it’s so easy to just grab anything and cram it into your mouth, with very little thought as to what damage your doing??
I would encourage everybody to this little experiment.
Do you want to:
- Lose weight?
- Gain weight?
- Get fit?
- Have more energy?
- Be happier?
- Have less mood swings?
I challenge you to start a 7day food diary and see exactly what you are putting into your body and what effect is has on your life???
I will update with my results when I complete my seven days.
I think its time for a run!!
Thanks for reading!
