Friendly question
I am actually receiving some coaching/tutoring at the moment, which is great and definitely helping sculpt my game. Hopefully the person wont stop with me because i enjoy it. And if you read this, know that it is not my intention to change our arrangement.
Some have asked, if you tutor or coach me can you guarantee a few wins consistently, showing them how to play, what spots to do what, and talking through the whole process and take a percentage from the wins?
would you CNT_CRUSHER, or anybody else for that matter ever be willing to do this for anybody? or will it be too difficult and could not guarantee anything?
since it was a friendly question
there are no guarantees with anything like this, as while the tutor can be the best in the world, you still have to apply it and not fall back into old habits/spew off/tilt etc etc
then there's variance.

how can there be any guarantees? i know you said friendly - but thats ridiculous.
Poker is so variance driven - I have had coaching for both MTT's and Cash games and there is no way that I would expect anybody to guarantee anything, it is up to you to do the things/change your game etc
For example - coach tells you to tighten up in early position, open more btn's etc - how can he guarantee it when you are the one expected to make those changes? It is up to you

Bending a little off topic, how are the proposed televised Aussie highstakes games progressing Suicide Kings?
Well it was a 'spit in the ocean' to see what kind of reaction we would get. It would be something i would definately love to watch, but i do not think it will happen for 2 or 3 reasons:
1. As stated by others, the mentioned are not all cash game specialists
2. I dont think we have enough well known high profile players to do this on a regular basis, which will question the investment to get it going.
3. The only way we could do it, is if somebody like Joe Haschem or Tony G would be willing to fund it for a once off show. And with current projects the 2 are involved in, i cant see this happening for poker in OZ for a long time.
wat a shame
