I thought the whole idea of FTP pro's was that they can play with everybody? - though they dont do it much, the do from time to time - and I dont see how Gus playing an $8 sat means he has lost his entire roll.

Terrible read. You misplayed your hand OP. Throw your laptop into a lake and walk away.

I once tried to register for a tourney, accidentally didn't notice that the tourney rego had closed, and instead registered for one of those sats.

Gus isn't broke. What I would like to know is what could possibly convince Gus to even click on the tourney tab to begin with...

I'd say obligations for Full Tilt's 5th birthday celebrations are the reason. Many of the their pro's, who normally wouldn't be caught dead in some of these low buy-in events, have been lotiering around.
I played a $22 turbo tourney on Thursday night and came up against Andy Bloch, a mate of mine also ran into him in a $2.20 PLO donkaments! Even sighted Phil Gordon recently.
This forum is the scapegoat for the whole damn machine. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it!
