Nice to hear from you Clintsmydad and thanks for your comment. To answer your question about the Hive briefly as possible. I played APL and became the Ambassador in 08/09. Players came to me with their stories and questions mostly in a negative way. I thought about this and realized where is the positive support for us in learning. I started to show these players who came to me how to find the positive in what they had experienced and add it to their next game continuing to improve. These players and myself were hungry to learn more, growing our poker beyond free roll at the time. As I searched around and experienced many networking sites I found not much support for us. It is great to now see the beginners corner on this site, which to me is positive for the future of poker. I have faced many hurdles as you know and still continue on my poker journey and have learnt a great deal. The HIVE is simply about a bunch of players supporting each other in a positive way growing confidence within themselves for poker n living. We quickly forget what it was like to be new and learning, hence my challenge to all to go back in time to when they started and where they are today with their poker. I believe without new players poker would eventually fold. I am trying to do my part in encouraging new players, players wishing to grow from free roll to more and the players who slug it out with not many results ready for change.
Thanks to Sin-City Seagulls the HIVE now meets on Wednesday night for a game, positive chat and support. I believe in time this night will build in numbers. These players are mainly used to free roll game structure so once a month we will be holding a deeper game simply to grab more experience for themselves. It is all positive and that is how the Hive will stay. I am hoping the more experienced players on here will join the support by adding a blog of their experience. We can all learn from each other and grow our poker within ourselves to the best of our own natural ability. I know James Lancaster via facebook and love his attitude and passion for poker. I am hoping he too blogs his experience. I am sure I will be hit with the negative members. But really where has negativity ever gotten you? |

We encourage you all to give this your best. If it doesn't interest you, that's fine, but negative, sarcastic or troll-like comments will not be tolerated. Thanks |

Bee... after many of our lengthy chats especially the chat @ Bangalow yesterday I have come to realise that people like you are few and far between and the game we love needs you!
I told you I would get 100% behind you and I will stick by my word... So in essence of our brainstorming yesterday, I will return the good gesture and add a 'pilot' blog to your competition... Hell.. I enjoy writing so why the fk not... stay tuned I guess... |

In all seriousness, I don't know you personally, but in my opinion, you used to come across as someone who thought they were the next big thing in poker. I think you have since realised that you (and many others like you) still have lots to learn about the game.
Hopefully some other misguided young souls can come to the realisation that you have. If you can help them do that, then I salute you. |

NooooBingo nice to hear from you. Thanks for your comment. Its funny how we read things and make our own conclusions. I have always been there as a player keen to learn with dreams. In my heart I believe I will do well in Poker. Doing well in being supportive to all players. Encouraging players to learn and grow their own abilities. As for me believing I will make it big someday. I already have achieved much more than winning a big event. I have achieved the satisfaction of seeing some players progress to their next level. The joy I share with them gives me the win feeling. I know my place in this industry and have always known who I am and what I stand for. I thrive on learning this game and do believe one day my efforts will pay off. My problem like many players is bankroll. That is what holds me back playing live events. I am happy to wait, as the time waiting is used in improving. Will take a life time to learn this game and still there will be more to learn with these young guns bringing new exciting challenges to the game.
I really hope you take on this challenge as I and many others could learn something from your blog. $50 prize money for the win is not much to many of you, its more about what us players will learn from all the blogs posted. Thank you for your thoughts. |
